On 23 October 2025, the Board of Supervisors (BoS) of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) decided to nominate Damian Jaworski, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the UKNF, for the position of EIOPA’s Executive Director. 

The decision of EIOPA’s BoS requires confirmation by the European Parliament (EP) during a plenary vote, which will be preceded by a hearing and a vote by the EP’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON).

If the European Parliament approves the nomination, the term of office of the new EIOPA's Executive Director will begin in April 2026.
