International organizations
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development was established in 1961 (Poland has been a member since 1996). Its primary goal is to support sustainable economic development and increased prosperity for the citizens of its member states.
The organisation establishes international standards, and its instruments include conventions, codes, principles, and guidelines. Member states also regularly participate in thematic reviews, both general (economic reviews) and specialized, whose purpose is to analyze the global situation and formulate specific policies, solutions, and recommendations.
The Polish Financial Supervision Authority, like other public institutions, participates in Poland's cooperation with the OECD within the framework of the division of responsibilities agreed upon by the government, as well as according to the needs expressed by other national institutions. Representatives of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority participate in committees and working groups related to the financial market (including insurance and pension activities), corporate governance, and financial education (OECD INFE), among other areas.
