UKNF has been certified to operate a Business Continuity Management System

Modification date:

The UKNF has been awarded a certificate of compliance of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) with the requirements of ISO 22301:2019 standard, for the following scope:

  • exercising supervision of the financial market within the Banking Supervision, Insurance Supervision and Capital Market Supervision divisions to provide assistance to the Board of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego – KNF Board)

The certification was preceded by an audit performed by an independent international certification body BSI Group.

Holding the certificate means that the UKNF has implemented the requirements of the standard and the best practices in the field of business continuity. In case of a crisis, the continuity of critical processes will be maintained.

‘With the Business Continuity Management System implemented at the UKNF, we could identify and better understand the key areas of activity and potential threats to our institution. This has allowed us to develop a business continuity plan appropriate for our organisation. The certificate confirms that the UKNF’s Business Continuity Management System complies with the international standard. The new solutions increase our resilience to both internal and external threats and enable a smooth recovery from disruptions’, said Bartłomiej Getlich, Director of the Information Security and Protection Department – Director responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the BCMS.
