Recommendations for financial market entities regarding the impact of Frontier AI models on cybersecurity

The risks associated with the development of artificial intelligence are not entirely new. CSIRT KNF highlights the prospect of a significant increase in the intensity and scale of the use of Frontier AI (advanced artificial intelligence models) by cybercriminals. This necessitates a reassessment of the strategic assumptions underlying ICT risk management within financial sector institutions.

Given the importance of the financial sector to national stability and the aforementioned threats, the UKNF has prepared recommendations (available in polish) designed to assist financial market entities in preparing for the evolving cyber-threat landscape resulting from the development of Frontier AI models.
