A meeting between Mr Kim Joo-hyun, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission of the Republic of Korea, and Mr Jacek Jastrzębski, Chair of the KNF Board, took place at the KNF headquarters. The event was also attended by representatives from the Banking Supervision Division and the International Cooperation Department of the KNF as well as the International Finance Division of the FSC.

The visit inaugurates the supervisory relationship between the Polish and Korean supervisory authorities. It is linked to the growing interest of Korean entrepreneurs in starting up operations in Poland, which is also followed by interest in Poland  among Korean banks. At the meeting, issues raised included the planned conclusion, at the KNF initiative, of a supervisory cooperation agreement on the Polish and Korean banking sector. The organisation of joint seminars and educational programmes on the activities and cooperation of small and medium-sized enterprises was also discussed.
