UKNF and NASK signed Memorandum of Understanding

Modification date: 30 October 2026

On 30 October 2026, Jacek Jastrzębski, Chair of the KNF, and Radosław Nielek, Director of the Research and Academic Computer Network of the NASK National Research Institute, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the rules of cooperation between the UKNF and NASK and the development of the ‘moje.cert.pl’ website, in particular adaptation of the functionalities of the website to the needs of the CSIRT and the KNF.

Better cyberthreat identification capabilities

In the face of the growing reliance of financial services on technology, the capability to respond to incidents and identify potential threats early becomes essential. Cyberattacks targeting financial institutions may affect not only the security of these entities but also the availability and security of the services we all use daily.

‘Moje.cert.pl’ offers services which support cyberthreat identification and cybersecurity assessment. With the MoU, the website will be better adapted to the needs of the CSIRT and the KNF in the area of, among other things, the management of financial market entities and the review of aggregated data regarding identified threats.

The new functionalities are to improve access of the CSIRT and the KNF to information about threats affecting financial sector entities and to support the detection of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. Plans have also been made to come up with solutions supporting notification of threats and communication.

Joint actions for the national cybersecurity system

The signature of the MoU is in line with the broader initiative for a stronger national cybersecurity system. The cooperation between NASK and the UKNF is carried out as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
