Jacek Jastrzębski, Chair of the KNF Board, met on Tuesday, in Frankfurt am Main, with Andrea Enria, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank (ECB).

The meeting was dedicated to the issues of stability of the Polish banking sector, mainly in the context of loans denominated in or indexed to Swiss franc in the portfolios of banks operating in the Polish banking sector. The Chair of the KNF Board presented the actions taken by the Polish supervisory authority (e.g. the process of banks and borrowers entering into settlement agreements, initiated at the Arbitration Court attached to the KNF Board), as well as possible further scenarios related with the expected ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the potential impact of the ruling on the standpoint of Polish courts on CHF loans.

During the meeting, the Chair of the KNF Board was accompanied by Marcin Mikołajczyk, Deputy Chair of the KNF Board responsible for banking supervision at the UKNF, and Kamil Liberadzki, Director of the Regulation Development Department at the KNF and Member of the European Banking Authority Management Board.
